I am experienced in leveraging agile frameworks to design and automate solutions to meet the current needs and future expectations of an enterprise. Background includes 20+ years of testing, upgrading, troubleshooting, supporting and maintaining enterprise infrastructure.
I am responsible for identifying and automating existing processes for managing on-premise and public cloud infrastructure. I also worked with my team to develop and deploy applications to collect data on our on-premise infrastructure and manage our automation processes. In my role I also mentored interns and new employees on established team norms, tools and processes.
In this role I was responsible for evaluating all storage and backup products in use at Liberty Mutual and recommending new solutions to reduce cost and improve performance. This included meeting with vendors to review new products, execute proof-of-concept in the lab, perform cost benefit analysis and present solutions to management, create implementation runbooks and train operations on new products.
In this role I was part of the operations team responsible for maintaining server, storage and backup infrastructure running in the datacenter. Our responsibilities included the following, installing and maintaining all hardware, planning software and hardware lifecycle, and providing level 2 and level 3 support including on-call rotation.
Support and manage IT infrastructure including desktops, servers, networking and storage. Provide technical support to all employees on a daily basis. Evaluate and plan upgrades for all hardware and software. I also worked with the IT Director on planning and implementing moving to a new office which included installing and configuring a new VOIP phone system and server room.

Most of my time is spent with my family, my wife, son and daughter and dog Maui. I follow a number of sci-fi and fantasy genre movies and television shows, pc gaming and I like to read.
